What it looks like to study with SOSHA
Multi Semesters
Each year consists of 3 Semesters within the SOSHA Learning Calendar, and in any Semester you are able to study any modality. Want to learn Reiki Level 1 & Breathwork Level 2? No problem! You’ll begin both on the start date and have your tutorials separated so you can access the most from your SOSHA Course.

You can also join us at one of our Extra-Curricular Retreats which are specifically designed to allow you to access the powerful modality with in-person, first-hand experience – and guide you on your own healing journey using multi-disciplinary talents.

Hi!
My name is Dane, and I’ll be your online Reiki Guide, navigating you through all of the recorded online material for the SOSHA Reiki Certification.
You’ll also receive live guidance from our SOSHA Head Reiki Facilitator – Sharnelle, who’ll be answering your questions live and guiding you onto the tasks in which you need in order to progress as a skilled Reiki Facilitator.
I’ve been in the healing realm for over a decade, helping people through Energetic Healing, Therapy, Reiki, Breathwork, Plant Medicine and so much more.
I’m also the founder here at SOSHA, so if there’s anything you want to know about how we do things – then sing on out!

I’m Brittany, a Reiki practitioner and intuitive healer based in Wellington, and I’m so excited to share a bit of my journey with you.
For me, Reiki started as an unexpected discovery during a challenging time in my life. After a breakup that shook my sense of self, I found myself drawn to a Reiki circle through a recommendation from a friend. At the time, I didn’t know much about Reiki—and honestly, I was a little skeptical of eastern healing practices. But that first session completely shifted something within me. I walked away with a sense of calm and peace that I hadn’t felt in ages, and it sparked a deeper curiosity.
Then, as if the universe wanted to leave no room for doubt, I started noticing hand symbols everywhere—sometimes even in places as surprising as my brand logo! That intuitive nudge grew louder, and before I knew it, I was booking a trip to Bali to explore this practice further.
In Bali, I immersed myself in a Reiki course, and it was like discovering a whole new world. The experience awakened a passion I didn’t even know I had and gave me a stark contrast to the corporate life I had been living back in New Zealand. That realization led me to create Souluna (souluna.co.nz)—a space where I now share my love for Reiki, life coaching, tarot readings, and holistic practices.
What I love most about Reiki is how it teaches us to tap into the magic that already exists within us. It’s like being at a real-life Hogwarts—unlocking the infinite potential we all carry. ✨

Yes, this program is a self study course with all materials hosted online.
The program is made up of Online Recorded Content – which is where all of the knowledge and material is kept and accessed, as well as LIVE Online Tutorials with your Reiki Facilitator who will be helping guide you every second-week with live questions, and tasks to help you become the best Reiki Facilitator you can become.
As soon as you’ve processed your application & paid, you will be added to the enrolment list and sent your login details no longer than 1 week before your start date.
Your tutorial times will be organised with your Trainer inside the group coaching program and be organised within time zones which can work with the majority of students inside the program.
Our Academic Year is split into 3 Semesters, listed below:
Semester 1) First week of February – Last week of April
Semester 2) First week of June – Last week of August
Semester 3) First week of October – Last week of December
There is a 1 month break between each Semester to allow for catching up of material before students wish to continue onto higher studies.
You can sign up for multiple programs per semester, as each Tutorial for a program will be scheduled at different times to allow for cross-discipline learning.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s hands to the client to enhance physical and emotional health.
Reiki is suitable for everyone. Whether you’re new to energy healing or a seasoned practitioner in other modalities, Reiki offers valuable techniques that can be integrated into personal and professional wellness practices.
Level 1 requires no prior experience. Level 2 requires successful completion of Level 1, and Level 3 requires completion of the first two levels – these pre-requisites do not have to be from SOSHA, but you do need to show you have had relevant experience to begin at the higher levels.
Yes – it is!
SOSHA is an Internationally Accredited Healing Institution of the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine.
Yes, after completing Level 2, you can start practicing Reiki on others professionally. Level 3 further enhances your skills and allows you to teach and certify other practitioners.
Each program runs for 3 months, and consists of 12 individual online modules for you to complete within the timeframe.
You’ll also receive support and guidance from our Reiki Tutors in the Bi-Weekly tutorials which are available for you as well.
While there are no education requirements, we do strongly recommend our students to continuing to study other modalities in order to enhance their skillsets, and become more integrated and well rounded healers.
We also offer in-person Retreats to our graduates in order to connect and develop further as individuals and healers on their own healing journey.
Yes – as this is an online program, you have Lifetime access to this program – meaning it doesn’t have to take you the 3 months to complete if life happens and you need to take some time away for a bit.
